can anyone help me i got my cute wee degu from pets at home addoption hes 6 months old and i would like to get him a friend but have been told i need to introduce it to the other one bit by bit is this true or can i stick one in straight away with him please help

Hello Kirsty, yes you need to introduce them gradually, placing them together straight away can result in fighting and death. As with any wild animals any new creature is seen as invasion of territory until the new one is accepted.
